What is Cili Generong Serawak/Habanero Chinese capsicum?

GORONONG CHILI (Capsicum Chinese) is a kind of chili also known as Geronong Chilli, Chili Gronong, Caronong Chili, Tangling Chilli (Chinese), Gendot Chilli (Indonesian), and Habanero (English). This sort of chili is said to be native to Sarawak, Malaysia, although is less well-known among Peninsular residents nowadays.

It is easy to grow Geranong Chilli as long as there are good seeds to sow. This is due to the fact that chili seeds are extremely difficult to come by, as each seed only produces a few seeds after sowing. If seeded directly in the nursery or in pots, these seeds usually have a percentage growth or germination.

To break the dormancy of these seeds, I recommend drying them first or splattering them with hot water. Geranong chilies are planted in pots using a mix of soil and cocopeat medium. In order to get plentiful development and yield performance, seeds grown in pots should be left alone one tree.

Garlic chile blossoms are usually white, much like other chili blooms. When compared to the hue of the leaves, the immature fruit is generally green. After 2-3 months of well-cared-for planting, the tree begins to bloom. The quantity of blooms produced is typically determined by agronomic practices and the tree's fertility. Although this chili tree is tough to grow, it is resistant to pests and illnesses. ‎
