What is Sunflower?

Sunflowers, technically known as Helianthus annuus, have been grown as industrial crops in various nations, particularly in Europe, to help enhance the economy. It may be used for a variety of purposes, including food and other items. Sunflower oil production is so active in European nations that it has become a key commodities asset in creating the economy. ‎

As we all know, we used to eat cookies, which are also a result of sunflower processing. It includes a range of important elements for health, in addition to the manufacture of downstream goods. Sunflower includes vitamins E and C, which are strong in antioxidants and can be used to treat a variety of illnesses, including heart disease. Its cultivation is done as an ornamental plant in Malaysia. ‎

Basic Planting Needs

There are a few simple parameters that must be satisfied in order for sunflowers to be planted successfully. In general, this crop may thrive in lowland locations with temperatures no more than 25°C, constant fertility, plenty of sunshine, and sufficient drainage. Make sure the soil is neutral and obtains a pH value of around 6-7 in terms of soil type and pH. As a suggestion, I recommend using mixed soil with a high organic content for better outcomes.

Seed Preparation

First and foremost, obtain the sunflower seeds. Sunflower seeds must be used to grow sunflower trees. Seeds are often obtained through stores, supermarkets, or the internet. Because kuaci has been processed and boiled, it cannot be used as a nursery seed, and there is no guarantee that it will grow if planted. ‎

You may only obtain it from friends who have sunflowers at home if you want to save even more money. When it comes to seed selection, be sure the seeds you choose are healthy and of good quality. Soak the seeds in the water combine fungicides or soak the seeds for greater guarantee. ‎

Seeding

After that, using constructed mixed soil medium, the seeds can be planted in pots or nursery trays (3:2:1). To conduct the soothing, drill a 3cm hole and insert the seed component. ‎

Place a seed in each hole if using a nursery tray. Use 1-3 seeds for pots or potted plants. After that, provide enough hydration and set the seed in a well-lit area. Ensure that seeds are exposed to sunshine for at least 6 hours every day. Finally, wait a week until the seeds have grown to a height of 5cm, at which point they are ready to be transferred. ‎

Planting

Seeds can be transferred at the limit or bigger stake once the 1-week seeding period has ended. Planting soil should have the same soil composition as seeding soil. If you're planting along the edge, keep the gap between the trees to 45cm. ‎

Care

Flowers should be flushed twice a day, in the morning and evening. If the tree is already too high, place the support wood and knot it. After three months, trim the buds that have grown since they are already inefficient and inferior. ‎

Pest

‎It is susceptible to attack by grasshoppers, Lucas, and snails. To overcome the problem, use insecticides such as ‎‎malation‎‎ according to the instructions on the label.‎

Harvesting

Sunflowers can be sold once they have reached the age of two months. If the tree is left to dry out for too long, the bleh blossoms will hatch and produce fresh seeds for replanting. ‎
